To unsubscribe from soc-mktg

1. Compose an e-mail to "listproc@listproc.georgetown.edu"
2. In the body of the e-mail put the words: unsubscribe soc-mktg
3. Remove any footers, signatures or other information in the e-mail.
4. Send the message.

If you send the unsubscribe message to soc-mktg@listproc.georgetown.edu, you'll still be subscribed. All that will happen is that we'll know you're trying to quit, but haven't successfully quit the list. Plus you'll get a lot of bounce back messages telling you people are out of their office or away or changed jobs. Then you'll still need to send the actual unsubscribe message to listproc@listproc.georgetown.edu

The key point to remember is that you had to take personal action to be subscribed to the list, so it's only reasonable that you have to take personal action to leave the list.

Posters, moderators and other members of the list cannot remove you from the list any more than they could add you in the first place.
